Keeping Your List Members
A lot of affiliate marketers don’t build lists and don’t have a website. They simply use advertising such as Google AdWords to promote the products. In the last few years, competition for keywords has exploded and the cost of bidding on keywords has rocketed.
By far, the best way to promote affiliate products is to a responsive list. If they have bought before, they can be convinced to buy again. That’s why the marketing experts’ mantra is “The Money Is In The List”.
I have covered ways of list-building elsewhere on this blog, so I won’t be going into it here. If building a list is important, there is something that is even more important, and that is Keeping Your List Members.
Your list should always be built from members who have “opted-in” to your list, and likewise, there should always be an Unsubscribe link in your messages. [Read more...]

The affiliates do the hard work of promoting the product, but they get their share of the profits from sales that they make. But you get your share of the profits from sales made by ALL the affiliates.
When it comes to creating your own product, there are a lot of obstacles to overcome, especially if you’ve never done it before, or you have very little experience of creating products.
The biggest problem I encountered when developing my first few products was over-enthusiasm combined with lack of planning.
Basically, I would get the idea for a product and then start working on it without setting out exactly what I was trying to achieve. The result would be a total failure because [Read more...]

ClickBank Portals – Get Your Own
I recently wrote on this blog about ClickBank Portals.
If you’re not a programmer, you’re definitely not going to be able to make your own portal. There are plenty of scripts out there which let you set up your own portal, but if you’re not technically minded or don’t have a web hosting service, you might find it difficult to set them up.
Another alternative is to use an affiliate based portal. Basically, this is a portal that is arrived at via an affiliate link (which contains your ClickBank nickname). The portal initialisation code then extracts the nickname and applies it to the products advertised within the portal. This means that you earn all the affiliate commissions from sales made to visitors who arrived via your affiliate link.
All you have to do is drive traffic to that affiliate link.
If you would like a FREE ClickBank Portal, visit [Read more...]
