Don’t worry about giving personal information on the registration form; it’s quite safe. ClickBank has been running for years, and over 1.2 million people have signed up.
Nickname
Your ClickBank Nickname is the key to marketing products from the ClickBank marketplace. Each vendor has their own unique Nickname, and each affiliate has their own unique Nickname. To market a particular vendor’s product, you create what is called a “hoplink”. The hoplink is a web address (URL) that incorporates the Vendor’s Nickname and your Nickname. When somebody clicks on your hoplink, they are referred to the ClickBank site. ClickBank then extract the Nicknames from the hoplink so they can log who is the affiliate, and for which product. The visitor is then redirected to the vendor’s website sales page. This all happens automatically and transparently. The visitor probably doesn’t even know they’ve been via ClickBank.
When the sale of the product is made, ClickBank credit the affiliate with the sale, and they are allocated the commission on that sale. This is usually a percentage of the product price and can be anything up to 75%.
Hoplinks
Hoplinks all have the same format so you can create them yourself if you know the Vendor Nickname. However, when you find the product in the ClickBank Marketplace, as long as you are logged in, ClickBank will generate the Hoplink for you. All you have to do is copy it and paste it wherever you want to promote the product.
Hoplinks look like this:
http://AFFILIATE_NICKNAME.VENDOR_NICKAME.hop.clickbank.netSo if your Nickname is “johndoe” and you want to sell a product from the vendor “foobar”, the hoplink would be
http://foobar.johndoe.hop.clickbank.net.
You don’t really need to know what a Hoplink means, but you do need to know what it looks like so that you know you are promoting the right link. Just make sure that it contains your Nickname and you can’t go wrong.

ClickBank is an ecommerce system that allows vendors to sell their digital products over the Internet with ease. Clickbank handles the credit card processing for the vendor, and ensures that the buyer is taken to the product download page after the purchase has been completed.
Because all products sold via ClickBank must be digital, they always work on a two-page system; a sales page and a download page.Affiliates
What Clickbank is most famous for is its affiliate system. Marketers can sign up as an affiliate and promote any of the thousands of products in the ClickBank Marketplace. In return, they receive a commission from every sale that is made as a result of their referrals. ClickBank handle all the order processing and allocate the relevant commission to the affiliate.
Signing up is free. If you’re itching to get started, you can sign up with ClickBank here.Commissions
Commissions on products vary, but they may be as high as 75% of the sale price. This might seem like a lot to pay your sales people, but using an affiliate program could result in several thousand sales of a product compared with a handful of sales made on your own.
When a sale is made, ClickBank automatically divide the payment up:
They deduct their own service charge
The remaining amount is divided up according to the commission rate specified, between the vendor and the affiliate.Note that payments to vendors and affiliates are delayed due to the refund policy. If a customer decides they want a refund for the product, obviously no commission is paid out on that sale.
The ClickBank Marketplace
When a vendor sells a product through ClickBank, it is automatically added to the ClickBank Marketplace. At the time of writing there are over 6,000 products in the ClickBank Marketplace (many people quote more than 10,000, but the Marketplace contains a lot of duplicates because the vendors file them under more than one category).
As an Affiliate, you are free to select and market any of the products in the ClickBank Marketplace. All you need to do is to generate the necessary Hoplink and you are ready to go.Hoplinks
Hoplinks are your key to making money on the Internet using ClickBank.

ClickBank has long been a starting point for newbies to cut their teeth in the Internet Marketing field, particluarly those in Affiliate marketing.
They make it quick and easy to get started by providing a large number of products to sell, by handling all the eCommerce, and by fairly dividing the income between the original vendor and the affiliate (as well as their own cut, of course).Affiliate Marketing is incredibly popular. More than 1.2 million people have affiliate accounts at ClickBank, although a surprisingly low number of those people (about 100,000) are actively marketing ClickBank products.
So why is this?
Firstly, although ClickBank do make it easy for the beginner to get started, they have some criteria that you must meet before you get paid, and meeting those criteria is not always easy when you’re just starting out. I know! I’ve been there.
Secondly, ClickBank provide the products and the eCommerce, but they cannot possibly teach you how to be a marketer. That’s not their job. The affiliates have to find out how to market the products themselves. Anyone totally new to marketing and/or the Internet, won’t have the first clue about what to do to promote the products that appear in the ClickBank Marketplace.
Finally, there are something like 6000 unique products in the ClickBank marketplace. Some are best-sellers, some sell reasonably well and others are simply complete lemons. Choosing the right product to promote can be very difficult. Even the best-sellers are not always the best choice for the beginners because there is so much competition out there.
So, the fresh-faced newbie signs up as an affiliate with ClickBank, makes very few or no sales, and gives up.
CBIntuition is here to help. Whether you’re a complete newbie who doesn’t even know what an affiliate is, an experienced marketer looking for a new product, or a customer who wants to know more about a ClickBank product, CBIntuition will be the right place to come.
