Just a quick post to let you know about a new tool that can be used to help build your list while you’re promoting other peoples’ products as an affiliate.
You’re probably hearing “the money is in the list” in your sleep by now, because just about everybody in online marketing keeps saying it.
In most cases it’s true, of course, so you should be building a list at every opportunity.
One of the disadvantages of selling as an affiliate is that it is usually the vendor who gets to build his list, while you, the affiliate, don’t usually get that opportunity. Now there is a dead simple way of building your list while promoting your affiliate links.
Affiliate Opt-in Generator is a program which generates pop-up screens that you can set up with a squeeze page offering a gift. The clever thing about it is that the pop-up appears right over the sales page of the affiliate product that you are promoting. So, whenever you promote an affiliate product, you can get your squeeze page to appear.
The program works by generating an encrypted HTML page that you upload to your own host. The file has your affiliate link embedded inside it, and instead of promoting your affiliate link, you promote your pop-up page. When a visitor click on your link, the pop-up file redirects them to the sales page as before, with your affiliate link. Then after a delay that you specify, your pop-up appears right in front of them.
Of course the visitor can choose to close it and continue reading the sales page, but there’s always the chance that they will take your offer, and you’ve then added them to your list.
Affiliate Opt-in Generator comes in two versions; Lite and Full. Of course, the full version gives you more features, but the Lite version does an excellent job too.
There’s a video showing you exactly how to use this software. Anyone who knows how to upload a file to their own host can get this running within minutes.

This post contains a review of the Traffic Leads and Sales marketing system.
Probably the most difficult part of online marketing for beginners is building a list. For years, marketers have been saying “The money is in the list”, and in most cases, that is true as long as your list is of a good enough quality.
You often hear about the marketing “gurus” who have lists numbering in the tens or hundreds of thousands, so that whenever they promote anything to the list, they make a small fortune almost instantly.
Leveraging Other peoples’ Lists
The problem is, how do you go about building a list? When I first started out, my first list came from a Giveaway event. However, I was so far down the list of giveaways that I had only 6 people sign up. But the next Giveaway I joined, I emailed that list and they also signed up. As a result, my Giveaway was slightly higher up the list and I got 19 new signups. I continued this process with another Giveaway and built the list up to just over 100. It was slow going, but my list was building up exponentially.Let’s just stop and think about where those signups came from. Giveaways work by all members inviting other people to join them, and most people who join invite the members of their existing lists. So in effect, everyone is putting all their list members in the pot, and you get signups from any of them who are interested in your product gift.
You’re leveraging other peoples’ lists to build your own.Joint Ventures (JVs)
Joint Ventures with other experienced marketers have the same effect. The marketer sells your product to his list. In exchange, you market his product to your list, or he gets to keep a large proportion of the proceeds.
Getting a JV going with an experienced marketer is quite difficult if you’re just beginning, unless your product is unique and of outstanding quality and/or value.Giveaways went out of fashion, and JVs can be difficult to set up, so what alternatives are there?
Setting up a squeeze page and using article marketing or bought traffic is one way, but it it doesn’t leverage other peoples’ lists in the same way as the Giveaways and JVs did.Traffic, Leads and Sales
Traffic Leads and Sales is a program that provides you with a product, but is more importantly a list-builder that leverages other peoples’ lists and/or marketing efforts.
The program is simplicity itself. Just like so many other marketing programs, you sign up and get an affiliate link to promote. Rather cunningly, it integrates directly into your own autoresponder service, so when any of your referrals sign up, they get added to your list automatically. It doesn’t end there, though. If any of your referrals go on to refer more people, they build their own list just as you are building yours, but the referrals are also added to YOUR list. In fact, this process continues down five levels.
And as they are added to your own autoresponder list, you get to market to them whenever you want.As well as building your list, the program can also be a source of income. By upgrading to any of the Silver, Gold or Platinum levels of membership. you earn an ever-increasing commission on your referrals who upgrade, right up to an incredible 100% commission for Platinum membership.
Finally, just for signing up to Traffic Leads and Sales, you get a bundle of 6 gifts worth $297.
Rating: 4 stars
As a list-building tool, it presses all the right buttons because it leverages your downline – you build your list from their efforts.
As a money-making tool it works quite well, rewarding you at a level commensurate with your level of investment in the program.
However, the commissions that you earn are a percentage of the membership upgrade fees from your referrals. To me, that feels a little like MLM or Pyramid Marketing. Fortunately, you’re not obliged to upgrade and you can still build your list, so it’s worth signing up for.Related Reading:

If you saw the headline for this post, and you’re an experienced on-line marketer, you’re probably thinking “Yeah, easy. All my websites have squeeze pages”.
But what if the website doesn’t belong to you? Could you add a squeeze page to your Facebook profile? Could you add a squeeze page to your Twitter page, MSN or Google?
Jeff Long’s Instant Capture Page lets you do just that. What’s more, it couldn’t be easier to set up; his software does all the work for you.
Affiliates: Build a list
You might be wondering why you would want a squeeze page on any website – especially one that doesn’t belong to you, but as an Affiliate Marketer, it’s a God-send.If your income is obtained by marketing products on ClickBank or any other affiliate program, you may have already realised that although you are bringing customers to the sales page, it is the product vendor who gets to build their list. The customers pass right on through.
Now if you could add your own squeeze page to the vendor’s sales page, you could make the sales AND build your own list. Simply offer a free report, related to the product being sold. Even if the customer doesn’t go on to buy the affiliated item, they might just sign up to your list to get the free report.
The best part is that the system works with just about any autoresponder on the market. And even if you don’t have an autoresponder, you will receive an email with the prospect’s entered details.
So how does it work?
Well, despite what I just said, you don’t actually add your squeeze page to other peoples’ websites. What happens is that you use Jeff Long’s software to generate a Popup squeeze page, and a cloaked link – an Instant Capture Page link.Instead of directing your traffic to your usual affiliate link, you direct them to your Instant Capture Page link. When the prospect clicks the link, they are redirected to the sales page as usual, but your Popup squeeze page is displayed on top of it. The visitor has to sign up, or cancel the squeeze page to get to the destination web page.
The system is currently available at a one-off price, but soon it will be changing to a monthly fee. If you want to add Instant Capture Pages to any sales page, or any other web page for that matter, get in before it changes to a pay monthly service.
