Affiliate Marketing – 6 Things To Beware
When it comes to making money online, Affiliate Marketing is one of the most exciting business opportunities you could get into. There are not many ways in which you can actually start a business of your own without investing any serious money. It sounds too good to be true, so maybe we’d better take a closer look.
Affiliate programs are free to join, but you still need to approach the idea of Affiliate Marketing with caution as it is not as simple as it sounds. It has been well publicised that over 95% of beginning online marketers fail to make any money, or even make a loss, so let’s examine the factors in Affiliate Marketing that may contribute to your success or failure.
Demand
It stands to reason that it is much easier to make money with affiliate programs when you are selling products for which there is a demand. [Read more...]

Test and Track your Affiliate Campaigns
If you’re going to make the transition from affiliate to super-affiliate, you need to know exactly how your campaigns are performing. To this end, testing and tracking is of utmost importance. You need to test everything – banners, ad copy, styles of your landing page, colours, ad positioning, email content etc.
Test your autoresponder messages BEFORE they get sent out to your list. I’ve lost count of the times that I’ve received emails that begin “Dear {firstname_fix}” because the marketer has mis-typed the special name tag, or because the mistake was in the original message published by the vendor and the marketers failed to test it.
Read and re-read your reviews as if you were a prospective buyer trying to decide whether the product is for them or not. A good review is like a recommendation. Would you buy the product based on your recommendation?
Consider split-testing. [Read more...]

Get Your Affiliate Marketing Career Moving
Most people start with affiliate marketing because it’s easy to start up, can be done for very low initial outlay, it can be quick to produce a return, and it can be very profitable. However, still over 95% of affiliate marketers fail to make any money online. So why is this? The main reason is that they don’t use the tried and trusted methods that are actually taught by numerous marketers. Instead they try to reinvent the wheel.
Any business is easier to get started if you have some money to make an investment in it, but affiliate marketing can be done on a shoestring budget. Money that you make from your initial attempts can then be used to finance better promotion, outsourcing, software tools etc.
If you want to become a super affiliate you need to knuckle down and get to work. As time goes by, [Read more...]

Top 30 Most Visited “Affiliate Marketing” Clickbank Sites
Previously, CBIntuition has published lists of new Clickbank products on a weekly basis. I’m not convinced that the lists were particularly useful, especially as so many new products are introduced every week.
The thing about new products is that nobody knows much about them, so the only way they would have been useful is if the posts on this site contained genuine reviews of the products. That’s not really practical at this stage – I certainly don’t have the time and resources to obtain, try out and review every new product.
Additionally, the majority of people who visit CBIntuition are themselves affiliate marketers, so having lists of all new profucts in every category was a waste of space. So, I am experimenting with a number of alternatives. Here is my first one. It’s a list of the top 30 most visited sites in the Affiliate Marketing category.

Disappointed with Affiliate Marketing?
There are a lot of people (and I mean a LOT!) who have tried their hand at online marketing only to end up losing more money than they made. Many took the advice of others that affiliate marketing is the way to go, because you don’t need your own product, don’t necessarily need a website, it is somebody else’s responsibility to fulfil the orders, and you get a nice commission from each sale. If it’s a Clickbank product, the commission can be as high as 75%.
In a nutshell it sounds ideal. You get paid more than half of the purchase price and all you have to do is get people to visit the sales page to buy the product.
Unfortunately, that’s where the bubble bursts. Getting people to the sales page is not quite as easy as the professionals make out. If you don’t have a [Read more...]

An Alternative To ClickBank
At the time of writing there are about 1.25 million people registered with ClickBank. Â But of those, only around 100,000 are actively promoting and selling products from the ClickBank Marketplace. Â That amounts to just 8% of registered affiliates.
If ClickBank is so good, what is going wrong?
The biggest problem is ClickBank’s Accounting Policy which makes it difficult for beginners to receive the initial commissions they have earned. Â It is the result of this policy that so many ClickBank affiliates have become completely disillusioned and just given up.
ClickBank, of course, are not concerned by this. Â When accounts go dormant for extended periods, they start to deduct administration charges from them until any balance has disappeared. Â And there are plenty more news affiliates where they came from, and there are also many thousands of successful affiliates who are bringing ClickBank a nice income.

What is ClickBank?
ClickBank is an ecommerce system that allows vendors to sell their digital products over the Internet with ease. Clickbank handles the credit card processing for the vendor, and ensures that the buyer is taken to the product download page after the purchase has been completed.
Because all products sold via ClickBank must be digital, they always work on a two-page system; a sales page and a download page.
Affiliates
What Clickbank is most famous for is its affiliate system. Marketers can sign up as an affiliate and promote any of the thousands of products in the ClickBank Marketplace. In return, they receive a commission from every sale that is made as a result of their referrals. ClickBank handle all the order processing and allocate the relevant commission to the affiliate.
Signing up is free. If you’re itching to get started, you can sign up with ClickBank here.
