Scale Up your Affiliate Campaigns

If you have an affiliate campaign up and running, the next step is to scale them up. That’s the only way you’re going to move up from earning a few hundred dollars per month to earning thousands per month.

Strange as it may seem, getting that first $1000 per month is actually a lot more difficult than getting $10,000 per month. The reason is that it takes time and effort to establish a working technique that will bring in that first $1000 per month. Once you have that cracked, all you need to do is scale it up.

It’s all about increasing the amount of traffic that you get to your site. Assuming that you have tried several different methods of getting traffic, you should have some idea of which ones are the most effective for you. Don’t get rid of the least effective ones unless they are returning no traffic at all, or they are too expensive for the amount of traffic they bring.

If you find that article marketing is very effective, then increase the number of articles that you write and use more article directories. If you are doing your tracking correctly, you will know which article directories bring you the most traffic and which bring the least. Concentrate on the high-traffic ones and also look for new directories that you have never used before.

If your best traffic comes from paid ads such as AdSense, then look at adding more keywords or using alternative paid ad traffic sources.

The good thing about being at the point of scaling up is that you are already earning money. This means you have a larger budget to play with than you did when you first started. This can have the advantage of being able to bid on more keywords or even negotiate a better rate for placing ads.
