Product Development in Reverse

Without a doubt, you’re more likely to make more money from your own product than selling somebdy else’s, especially if you use affiliates to sell your product for you. The affiliates do the hard work of promoting the product, but they get their share of the profits from sales that they make. But you get your share of the profits from sales made by ALL the affiliates.

When it comes to creating your own product, there are a lot of obstacles to overcome, especially if you’ve never done it before, or you have very little experience of creating products.

The biggest problem I encountered when developing my first few products was over-enthusiasm combined with lack of planning.

Basically, I would get the idea for a product and then start working on it without setting out exactly what I was trying to achieve. The result would be a total failure because [Read more...]

Build Your List Using Joint Ventures With Other Marketers

Whether you’re struggling to get started, or have been doing ok in your online business, you’ve probably looked on in envy at those big-gun marketeers who have huge mailing lists, and can make $10,000 with a single email. Like me, you’ve probably thought it would be nice to get your message out to the people on those lists. Not only would you stand to make a lot of sales, you’d massively increase the size of your own mailing list.

The problem is that if you approached those marketeers, they wouldn’t even give you the time of day, unless you were offering them something really special. You don’t have a big list yourself, so they wouldn’t be interested in doing a swap.

The thing is, there are a lot of people out there in the same boat as you. They would dearly love to set up Joint Ventures (JVs) [Read more...]

Disappointed with Affiliate Marketing?

There are a lot of people (and I mean a LOT!) who have tried their hand at online marketing only to end up losing more money than they made. Many took the advice of others that affiliate marketing is the way to go, because you don’t need your own product, don’t necessarily need a website, it is somebody else’s responsibility to fulfil the orders, and you get a nice commission from each sale. If it’s a Clickbank product, the commission can be as high as 75%.
In a nutshell it sounds ideal. You get paid more than half of the purchase price and all you have to do is get people to visit the sales page to buy the product.

Unfortunately, that’s where the bubble bursts. Getting people to the sales page is not quite as easy as the professionals make out. If you don’t have a [Read more...]

Review: Michael Rasmussen’s Video Series: How To Create A Mini Site That Runs On Autopilot And Makes You Money While You Sleep!

Most Internet marketers understand that having mini-sites is the fastest and easiest way to make money online. They don’t require a lot of time, energy, or money to set up, and once you’ve got one up and running, you can sit back and just collect money from all the sales you’re making.

At least… that’s how it’s supposed to be, right?

The truth is that mini-sites really ARE easy to set up. They really DON’T require much time, energy, and money to set up. So why is it that so few people actually make money with their mini-sites?

The answer is that they never learned how to actually turn their mini-site into a profitable money-maker that runs completely on autopilot. The good news is…

Here’s what this is all about: My colleague Michael Rasmussen has a video course that will [Read more...]

Clickbank’s Accounting Policy

I’ve written about this subject on other blogs, but it’s very important to anyone starting out as a Clickbank affiliate, so I decided to write about it here, too.

If you’re getting into affiliate marketing, one of the most popular places to start is ClickBank. They make it so easy to use, and after 10 years, they have paid out over $1.5 billion in affiliate commissions, so it’s tried and trusted by both vendors and affiliates.

But if you’re a beginner and just taking those first, tentative steps into marketing, you could lose the money that you have earned so far due to Clickbank’s accounting policies. В Personally, I lost only $23 because of this, but I know of others who have lost a lot more.

I was a complete newbie to any kind of marketing and I wasn’t really taking it that seriously. I had a good job and any money I [Read more...]

What is ClickBank?

ClickBank is an ecommerce system that allows vendors to sell their digital products over the Internet with ease. Clickbank handles the credit card processing for the vendor, and ensures that the buyer is taken to the product download page after the purchase has been completed.
Because all products sold via ClickBank must be digital, they always work on a two-page system; a sales page and a download page.

What Clickbank is most famous for is its affiliate system. Marketers can sign up as an affiliate and promote any of the thousands of products in the ClickBank Marketplace. In return, they receive a commission from every sale that is made as a result of their referrals. ClickBank handle all the order processing and allocate the relevant commission to the affiliate.
Signing up is free. If you’re itching to get started, you can sign up with ClickBank here.
